Here at Tang Hall our principal aim is to develop children’s knowledge, skills and understanding in Mathematics. We provide opportunities for children to experience aspirational learning. The school uses a variety of teaching and learning styles in maths lessons to support the different learning styles of the children. We also use investigation and exploration to develop the children’s own mathematical reasoning.
The National Curriculum for Mathematics in divided into Number, Calculation, Measurement, Geometry and Statistics.
We follow The White Rose Maths hub scheme of work. This scheme follows the key aspects of the curriculum and allows us to teach through fluency, reasoning and problem solving.
