Tang Hall Performance Data 2018-2019

Early Years Foundation Stage
At the end of Reception (Early Years Foundation Stage) 77% of our pupils reached a Good Level of Development (GLD), which is above the national figure of 72% (2018).

Key Stage 1
At the end of Year 1, 86% of our pupils met the expected standard in phonics, which is above the national figure of 85%.


At the end of Year 2, the following percentage of pupils reached the expected standard in Key Stage 1 assessments:

At the end of Year 6, the following percentage of pupils reached the expected standard in Key Stage 2 assessments:

Pupils’ results are also converted to ‘scaled scores’ in reading and maths at the end of Key Stage 2. In 2019 our average scaled score was 104 in reading, 106 in SPaG and 104 in maths, above the expected standard scaled score of 100 which is in-line with the National figures of 104 in reading, 106 in SPaG and 105 in Maths.

Progress from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2


Progress figures at the end of Key Stage 2 show how much children have improved from Key Stage 1. In 2019, the cohort progress figures were +2.7 in reading, +3.9 in writing and +1.0 in maths. The progress figures that were scored put the school in the top 25% of schools Nationally for Reading and in the top 5% of schools in Writing.
